Parent-Teacher Conference

Yesterday I went to the first parent teacher conference for Faith. I just have to say that I am so impressed with my sweet daughter, she is doing so well and catches on quickly. Her teacher whom Faith absolutely loves says that she is quiet. I explained to her that this is simply a school thing because she is definately not quiet at home actually she is very vocal. I wonder where she gets that from. Anyway she is doing very well with numbers and letters and beginning to read words. I love that she is loving school so much. Sometimes the initial get up and go is still a little hard but she goes and she always comes home to tell me what she learned. We love you Faith and keep up the great work.

Levi's school Halloween/Scarecrow Party

Levi had his school party today. I have to say that Levi absolutely loves going to school. When I got there he goes "Hey mom, what you doing here?" He did at least give me a hug and then it was off to playing with his buddies.

Here is Levi and his friend Jonah. Apparently the teachers think they look alike and often get them confused. I told my friend Mandi(Jonah's mom) that we should dress them alike one day just for a little fun.
The kids enjoyed sending pumpkins rolling across the room whether they went the right direction or not.

Faith's school Halloween/Fall Party

I went to watch Faith at her Halloween party today. It was really cute, all the kids played dress each other as mummy's with toilet paper. They also had really cute Halloween cookies and other fun activities. It is so neat to get to watch Faith in this atmosphere. She seems to have such a good time. Thank goodness for these teachers who have the blessing and creativity to teach our precious little ones.

Bows & Flowers Galore

Faith thought it would be cute to put some clippies in Emma's hair. Not just one or two would do it though, she needed a whole head full.

Emma seemed to be in good spirits about it.
You would think she would be yanking them off but she was too interested in the ones that fell out onto the floor all on their own.

Don't worry we didn't take her anywhere like this. Of course she's cute no matter what she's got on.

Levi's Preschool Pictures

Which ones do you like? I personally think they are all great and can't decide. Of course I might be a little biased but he sure is handsome. I think I am going for the second one as my favorite.

I can't believe my baby boy looks so old. He is such a handful yet joy to have in our home. It definately would not be the same without him. Even this boy runs me ragged sometimes I wouldn't trade him for the world. I love you Levi.

Things I'm grateful for

Sometimes when we go through tough times its hard to remember to be grateful for the things we have so I decided to list just a few of mine:

1. My happy, healthy, beautiful children.
2. My husband who cares for all of us.
3. My parents & family
4. The roof over our head.
5. Food on the table.
6. True friends that you can talk to and trust.
7. Knowing that better times will come.
8. Education

KC Zoo

The Kansas City Zoo is free for October and November if you have a Kansas City address so we have hit it up twice so far. It is not my favorite of all the zoos I've been to but it's getting better and the kids love to go.

Day 1: We went with some friends walked around, had lunch and played on the playground. Yes we came to the zoo and played on the playground.

Help! I'm Stuck!!

Normally when I do laundry Emma follows me to go put it away. Well this time the shoe bucket happened to be open and she didn't follow. Instead as I am coming back to the laundry room I hear her going AHHH, AHHH. She had somehow gotten herself inside and didn't know how to get out so this is what I found. She of course was saved from this tragedy.

Fun at the Park

Emma absolutely loved her first time on the swing. It was so cute how much she giggled and laughed and what hair she has blew in the wind.
Levi and Joe played a little baseball. I don't know who had more fun Levi or dad.
Faith had fun doing everything, she loves to be outside. Here she is on this contraption that bounces you crazy.

Bug Catcher

So as many of you know I do not like bugs whether they be big or small, flying or crawling, creepy or not. I think they are all gross. My little Levi on the other hand can't wait to get a closer look a trait he definately did not get from me. Though I do have to say Joe isn't too fond of spiders. Anyway here he is on one of his bug adventures....
Conversation:
Levi: Look mom I got a grasshopper.
Mom: Wow Levi make sure you stay over there.
Levi: (coming closer) but look mom he's on my hand.
Mom: (walking away while zooming camera) Nice Levi now don't get mommy and keep it outside.
All in a days work!

Thanks for the uhhh "help" Emma

Emma likes to "help" mommy where ever I go lately so in doing this she follows me and this is pretty much a contant view of my legs.

Emma also likes to help unload the dishwasher. Though this is very cute the problem is that usually while she is unloading I am actually trying to load so it's a battle to see if I can load faster than she can throw all the dishes on the floor.
Can't blame a girl for trying.

Martin family visit

Joe's family got to come see us on their way from Ohio back to Arizona. The kids were completely surprised. Faith got off the bus and started talking to me then stopped mid-sentence when she realized who was with me at the bus stop.

The kids enjoyed playing with Maygen while she was here. They all played and played until they passed out.

Bill, Dixie, Joe, Jenn, ChastidyIt was good to see them all even for a short time. The kids especially loved it. Faith and Levi both cried this morning when they had to leave to go home.

9 month stats

Emma had her 9 month check up today. Lucky for her no shots. They'll hit her with 4 at her 1 year check up though.

Weight: 19lb 6oz
Height: 28 1/4 inches
She's right on track!
In case your wondering why she's not wearing any pants its because she can't stand them. They prevent her from crawling super fast so she wiggles her way out of them.

No guys Emma isn't a baby doll!

Sometimes Faith, Levi and their friends like to pretend Emma is a babydoll. See the look of what the heck on Emma's face. Emma though as you can tell is a good sport as Faith and her friend Shelby give her a baby bath.

Hey at least her clothes are on and they aren't trying to give her a real bath.
